Montauban

We live about 40 minutes from Montauban.  It's not the most beautiful city, but we seem to go there a lot.  When we need to visit the Brico Depot or the big supermarche or our climbing gym.  Yesterday we decided to play tourist in Montauban.  We visited the Natural History Museum and then the Ingres Museum.

The Natural History Museum was pretty funny.  Rooms full of stuffed animals...that was it.

Then we went to the Ingres Museum.  We've been before, but thought Eric would enjoy it...and he did.

A great afternoon.

Looks like the Natural History Museum here in Marseille. Though maybe the animals are a bit better cared for there. here it is just plain sad.

A nice series of photos -- I have to go to Montauban for work occassionally, and will have to go more in the future, but have never visited anything of interest. I'll have to check the town out someday.

Happy New Year to you!

I have just started reading your blog as a result of research for a feature post on Saint Antonin Noble Var. Love your posts and have included you/your blog in my story on St Antonin on my blog at www.alamodeus.net. I'll be adding Notre Vie Juteuse to my blog favorites.

megan - it was pretty sad. I wondered if they just killed them to stuff them or what? It was old, smelly and we were followed around by this short troll like lady, who probably thought we were going to do something bad to the animals.
